...and we're back in business...

MAN, what a storm! As of Saturday, September 27th, we have power. 15 days after the storm and what seemed like a lifetime our lines were reconnected. It's amazing how much easier electricity makes our lives. Lola and I spent a lot of time with my mom, which she loved. Max manned the house and stayed here every night and day waiting and hoping a centerpoint truck would show up. The dogs and Max were amazing through all of it. Our neighbors let us use their electricity and we were able to at least have an oscillating fan to rotate the hot air around the house.

I will be uploading some new pictures of Lola since she is now 3 months old! I think Max and I want to plan a little bbq/get together some time soon. Our yard is once again nice and manicured and we deserve to have a night of good friends and good food. Through all of this, we realized that while we love our neighborhood, once our lease is up next year we are gonna make the move to a newer suburb. One main reason for that is the absolute assholeness that our landlord exhibited in the aftermath of the storm. I seriously thought Max was going to kick his ass. He was such a little prick concerning HIS house. Like he wants nothing to do with the upkeeo and maintenance of his house. We practically had to beg him to get him to come look at the damage and once he was here, he acted as if it was no big deal. He's a little prissy queen, and we are officially pissed off at him.

But, other than our landlord issues, we are once again back into a normal routine and I am back to searching for a job. I've cancelled a few interviews that I really didn't want to waste my time in going to, and I am waiting on one of the places that had to reschedule to call me back. That is the one I really want to try to get. But, we will see when they can resume the interviews.

That is all for now. Pics of Lola to come soon.
